Lots of happy memories spending time with the Conklin family.  So sorry to hear of Bobby's passing.  Hope everyone else is well.

To: Ann, AnnMarie, Cindy, Barbara and all the Family,
I was sad to hear the passing of Bob, my condolences to you all. 
I have very fond memories spent with your family each year in April around my birthday as young 10yo - 15yo. I was excited to take the drive to Florida to see you all because I knew Bob & Ann would always have fun stuff planned for us. From the surf fishing (where I caught my very first Bluefish), the dune buggy Bob borrowed from a neighbor taking me through your development before it was completed, to letting me cruise around on his brand new lawn mover. And not to forget all the pool shenanigans and the awesome birthday cakes we shared. He will always have a special place in my heart for all his kindness, generosity,  and for being a decent, genuine and honorable man. 
I hope you will find comfort in knowing all the lives he has touched and the smiles brought to many faces.


Bobby was the best big brother a girl could ever have! He was kind, family oriented,  skillful, fun, a super communicator, and multi talented. Bobby could fish, hunt with bow or shotgun, trap, skindive,  landscape and do floral design.  He was a Korean Vet - part of the elite group called Ranger paratroopers, 82nd airborn, I believe. He was employed with GM much of his life. On Christmas morning, he would show up with a pile of gifts for the younger kids in the family. Bobby will be missed for his enthusiastic zest for living, his great smile and upbeat attitude, his wonderful bear hugs, and his weekend phone calls! After God created Bob, he broke the mold. Uncle Bob was my Mom’s (Iris) older brother.  Every single time I talked to my Uncle Bob on the phone, he was upbeat and positive which I loved hearing the most and that is what I will remember.  He would always give a standing invite to come down and visit since he lived in Florida and I lived in Ohio.  He was blessed with a positive soul and he will have that for eternity.  Bless him.

He is survived by his wife Ann and 3 daughters, Ann Marie and her husband Paul Daly, Barbara and her husband Sam Amerson, and Cindy and husband Jerry Brokaw. He had 4 grandchildren whom he adored, Justin, Joseph, Meghan and Tyler
