To the Racca family,

I've known Phyllis and her family for 38 years, as she was one of the first neighbors of my Aunt Vina and Uncle John Rice when they moved on Bult Road.  Many many years of good memories with the Racca Family.  My condolences are with the entire family.  I remember when all 4 of their daughters were born and watched them grow up to be young women.  May God be with you all during this difficult time.  RIP Phyllis!

Staci (Racca) Miller and Family,

I’ve known Staci since Kaufman Elementary. I was at Hixson’s yesterday for my grandfather’s funeral and I saw Ms. Racca’s picture and recognized the name and resemblance. So sorry for your loss. Deepest condolences.

Phyliss will be missed by so many people. She was a dear friend to me for about 25 years. Even though We did not see each other often We always picked up right where We left off. I loved her smile and she always had one ! Loved Her bold personality. She always had a great story to tell about life. She always had a cold coke a cola, satsumas or a cup of coffee waiting for you.  She was real and true and matter of fact and that’s why We loved her. I will miss you forever.......

Mrs. Phyllis was always kind to me and my family. She invited us over to her house to see newborn baby birds. She shared oranges and eggs with us and always was great to talk to. She will be profoundly missed. ❤️❤️❤️

She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Kurt Racca; four daughters, Brandy Nicholson and husband Joshua of Natalia, TX, Staci Miller and husband David Yantis of Lake Charles, Jessica Myers and husband Cory of Iowa, Ashley Duplechian and husband Phillip of Lake Charles; one sister, Kay Landry and Alfred of Lake Charles; twelve grandchildren, Patrick Miller, Ethan Myers, Sarah Nicholson, Victoria Miller, Alex Myers, Rachel Nicholson, Conrad Duplechian, Hannah Nicholson, Levi Duplechian, Elijah Nicholson, and Lorne Myers.

Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Rebecca Fischer; and her grandson, James Nicholson.
