Audrey Harlow Waddell

WADDELL, Audrey Harlow, age 81, of Quinton, passed away on March 6, 2019. With deep sorrow, we give our mother back to our heavenly father. Audrey was our mother, best friend, teacher to her many siblings, and matriarch to the large Samuels family. She is predeceased by her eldest son, Frank Payne Morrison, Jr.; parents, Mildred and Robert Samuels; sisters, Helen and Katherine Samuels; and brothers Robert “Bobby” and Charles “Chuck” Samuels. She is survived by her husband, Samuel James Waddell Sr., children, Deborah DeVore, Dennis Harlow, Donna Rondinelli, and Daryl Harlow; sisters, Margie Marshall, Dorothy Fleming, Laverne Whitlow, Mary Skelton, and Melody Clarke; and brothers, Woodrow “Woody” Samuels, William “Billy” Samuels, and David Samuels. Audrey also leaves behind grandchildren, Daniel DeVore, Amanda DeVore, Brandon Harlow, Kevin Jourdan, Rhianna Beasley, and Joseph Rondinelli, and four great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Monday, March 11, 2019 from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Avenue, Richmond, Virginia 23231. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at 10 a.m. at New Life Baptist Church, 6229 Osborne Turnpike, Henrico, Virginia 23231. Interment will follow at Washington Memorial Park, 6217 Memorial Drive, Sandston, Virginia 23150.
