Marion Hazel (Cooley) Starnes, age 91, has died, surrounded by family on Tuesday, March 12, 2019. She was born on October 10, 1927 in Waynesboro, Mississippi-one of eleven children.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a genuine friend to many. She was married to James E. Starnes, Sr. for 60 years before is death in June 2008. Together, they had three children: Patricia Ann Taylor, Joan Elizabeth (Ricky) Carrell, and James Edward (Verneuille) Starnes, Jr.; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.

A graveside service for Mrs. Starnes will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. from Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Saraland, Alabama.
