Lastenia Mendez was called home on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 in Fort Smith, AR after a long and beautiful life of 90 years. She was born on the 3rd of April 1928 in Choloma, Honduras. She worked as a seamstress from the age of 25 in Honduras, New York, and Fort Smith until retiring from Westark Garments in 1988.
Her funeral service will be held at Fentress Mortuary on Saturday, 16th of March at 10:00 am with burial to follow at Oak Cemetery in Fort Smith.
Lastenia is survived by five children: three daughters; Enma Mariona, Bertha Gomez, and Rebecca Martinez, two sons; Alan Ulloa and Javier Ulloa, 13 Grandchildren, 17 Great Grandchildren, and three Great, great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday, March 15, 2019 from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
