She was born in Augusta County on April 4, 1924, a daughter of the late Mae and Edna Balsey.
Lorine worked as an office manager for Augusta Audiologist and also worked for Woodrow Wilson Rehab. She was an equestrian and a needle worker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Caldwell, Sr.
Survivors include her sons, Charles Caldwell, Jr. and Dean Caldwell and their spouses; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; as well as numerous extended family members.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at Tinkling Spring Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Rev. John Ward officiating.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Stuarts Draft Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Lorine’s memory to the Weekday Religious Education Program, c/o: Raphine Christian Church, 5131 Lee Jackson Hwy, Greenville, VA 24440.
