Greer Jean Marchand, 68, passed away on April 30, 2019.

She was born on November 14, 1950 in Arlington County, VA to Eleanor Shumaker and the late John Hite.

Greer enjoyed animals, she loved going to horse races at Camden; The Carolina Cup steeplechase race being her favorite. Greer was a dog trainer, loved art, shopping and to lead Bible study groups.

She will be greatly missed by her only child Brian, his wife Jessica; grandchildren, Jackson (3) and Savannah (1); brother, Curt; mother, Eleanor Shumaker and step-father, John (J.W). Greer is preceded in death by her sister Lori Hite.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The Humane Society of Charlotte, 2700 Toomey Ave, Charlotte, NC 28203.
