Sylvia Wine Shank

She was born in Augusta County on March 31, 1933, a daughter of the late Earl and Edna Snow Wine.

Mourning her passing are her children, Wesley Don Shank and wife, Lola and Renee Coffey and husband, Billy all of Madrid, Va; grandchildren, Brandy Wingfield and husband, Joe, Holly Layman and husband, Matt, Ashley Owens and friend, Eric Cash and Josh Coffey and wife, Amber all of Waynesboro; and great-grandchildren, Jessy Wingfield, Gabriel Wingfield, Layla Layman, Mason Owens, Brooke Layman, Allie Owens and Abel Layman. She is also survived by her special pet, Penney.

Sylvia was a lifelong member of Crimora United Methodist Church where she played piano for many years.

She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and enjoyed family traditions and celebrations. Sylvia also loved and missed her husband, Russell Shank of 57 years and was looking forward to reuniting with him.

At her request, her body will be cremated. A memorial service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 618 W. Main St., Waynesboro with Pastor Merle Fisher officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the service.
