Jimmy Wayne "Diddy" Shepard

Mr. Jimmy Wayne "Diddy" Shepard, age 70 of McDonough, passed away on Monday, May 20, 2019. Mr. Shepard was born in Louisville, GA to the late Joe Shepard & Lois Beasley. After 20 years of service, Jimmy retired from Atlanta Christian College as Supervisor of the Maintenance Department. When Jimmy wasn't cheering on the Atlanta Braves, he was enjoying the outdoors, fishing or searching for Civil War relics with his metal detector. He also loved to try his luck with lotto and scratch off tickets or video slot games. Jimmy is survived by his loving wife of 53 years: Rebecca Shepard of McDonough; children: David Shepard of Griffin, Tracie (Tommy) Boggess of McDonough & Roxanne Shepard of McDonough; grandchildren: Jarrad (Shelley) Boggess of Jackson, Matthew Shepard of Marietta, Erica (Brett) Aster of Jackson, Joshua Shepard of Griffin, Elizabeth Shepard of Griffin, & Laura Lee Shepard of Griffin; great grandchildren: Channing Aster, Arizona Boggess & Dallas Boggess; siblings: Connie (Jerry) Griffin of Atlanta, Thomas (Lawanda) Shepard of Collins, & Michael (Peggy) Shepard of Lawrenceville. Mr. Shepard is predeceased by his brothers: Bennie Joe Shepard, Alfred Shepard, Don Shepard, & Gerald Shepard.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at Haisten Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of Haisten's Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in the mausoleums of Eastlawn Cemetery.
