Beloved wife of predeceased Michael I. Kolwicz. Cherished daughter of predeceased James and Marie Schafer. Devoted mother of James M. Kolwicz. Dear sister of James (Debbie) Schafer and Richard Schafer. Loving aunt of Justin P. Schafer, aunt and godmother of Erin Leigh Schafer.
Jan was born in Honolulu in the Territory of Hawaii. After graduating from Barbizon School of Modeling, she had many shoots, including Philadelphia Magazine, where she worked for a short period of time. Later Jan became a Hostess for the Phillies. She spent 23 years with them. As an avid Phillies fan, she truly enjoyed her career with them. After the Phillies Jan was an Assistant Teacher for the Palmyra School District.
Jan was very artistic. She enjoyed working with water colors and doing her arts and crafts. Her family and friends were fortunate enough to have been the recipients of her talent. She also liked to work with plants and flowers. Jan had a wonderful sense of humor. She was very easy to talk to, outgoing and lively. She will be most remembered for being kind and thoughtful and for being behind the camera. Her family is blessed to have thousands of pictures thanks to Jan. She was loved by many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Jan will truly be missed.
