Jill Wittmann, 70, of Lufkin, was born June 28, 1948 in Nacogdoches, Texas, the daughter of the late Ruby Ruth (Hampton) and Floyd Long. She passed away Thursday, May 30, 2019 at her residence.

Jill was a loving wife, mother and sister, and she enjoyed cooking for her family. Animals were her passion.

Survivors include her husband, Mike Wittmann of Lufkin; sons and daughters-in-law, Kelly and Carmen Murphy of Conroe and Kevin and Stephanie Murphy of Lufkin; daughter, Kasey Delgado of Florida; sons and daughters, Tammy Hanna of Alabama, Thomas Wittmann of Lufkin, Bridget Walker of Dallas, Christina Wittmann of New York, Michael Ann Hanna of El Paso, and Heather Wittmann of Dolgeville, New York; brother and sister-in-law, Danny and Janie Long of Houston; and a number of grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, because of Jill’s love for animals, memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the Winnie Berry Humane Society of Angelina County, 1102 N. John Redditt Drive, Lufkin, TX 75904.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday evening at Gipson Funeral Home. Per Jill’s wishes, no service will be held.
