Geraldine B. Butts

Geraldine B. Butts, 99, of Belvidere (formerly of Florida) passed away Monday, June 4, 2019 at OSF St. Anthony Hospital. Geraldine was born in Belvidere on May 9, 1920, the daughter of Oscar William and Florence Mildred (Johnson) Quist. Geraldine married William Henry Butts and he preceded her in death. Geraldine loved her family and enjoyed all the times they could spend together. Her keen memory of years gone by was captivating and will be sincerely missed. Two grandsons survive her: Michael (Tami) Cederberg and Rich Cederberg; great-grandchildren: Aaron, Nathan, Joel (Rachael), Kairo, Daniel (Magan), Jazmin and Talya. Her parents, husband, daughter Jacqueline L. Nuckles on May 15, 2019 and a sister Evelyn Akey preceded Geraldine in death.

Inurnment for Geraldine will take place at Greenwood Cemetery in Monroe, WI. Sunset Funeral Home 8800 N. Alpine Road in Machesney Park, IL has accorded cremation rites.
