Kaye Don Hocquard, 81, passed away surrounded by his family on Saturday, June 8, 2019 in Lansing, MI. He was born June 3, 1938 in Lansing, MI, the son of the late Estel and Clara Hocquard. He was the youngest of three children. He married Bobbie Jane Hocquard on August 28, 1965 and they shared their lives together for over 50 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie, his brother, Raymond, his grandson, Luke and his granddaughter, Cynthia.
He is survived by his six children; sons Jim Diederichs, Todd Diederichs, Chris (Kelly) Hocquard; daughters Terri (Jesse) Lopez, Wendy (Tom) Menacher and Staci (Ben) Mason: sister, Virginia Mansel; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Kaye Don was a MP in the Army for two years. He was a proud member of Union 652 and worked at GM for 37 years. He loved spending time with his family, going to the casino, watching MSU football and basketball and the Detroit Tigers.
The family wishes to express its sincere gratitude to the compassionate staff at Ingham County Medical Care facility for the wonderful care given to him during his time there.
