Michael D. Stinson, 58, of Hopewell Junction, NY, died peacefully at his home on June 10, 2019 following a courageous 5-year battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his beloved family. Michael was born on August 3, 1960 in Cold Spring, NY, to David Stinson and Donna (Pullen) Edwards.
Michael was a sheet metal worker and took great pride in his job. He was an avid Camaro enthusiast and enjoyed working on his 1973 Z28 Camaro. Michael also enjoyed NASCAR races and holidays with his family.
Michael is survived by his devoted wife of 28 years, Michele Kaplan Stinson, his children, Michael and Sarah Stinson, his step-children, Rachel and Sean Cavaliere, his mother, Donna Edwards, and his sisters, Nicole (Andy) Laureti, Diane (Mike Cook) Conklin, and Barbara Stinson. He also survived by his nieces and nephews; Billy Conklin, Emily Stinson, Vincent Laureti, Evan Leone and Cassandra Laureti.He is predeceased by father, David Stinson, his nephew Robert Hosey, Jr. and his niece Erica Conklin.
Visitation will be on Friday June 14, 4-8pm at Edward F. Carter Funeral Home, 170 Kings ferry Road, Montrose, N.Y. Funeral Service will be on Saturday June 15 , 11:00 am at the Funeral Home.
