She was born November 16, 1954 in Greencastle, the daughter of James William and Eva Jane (Stone) Spurr. Karen was a graduate of Greencastle High School “Class of 1972” and received her nursing degree from Ivy Tech College.
Karen was a LPN having worked at Asbury Towers, Home Healthcare, and as a charge nurse at Autumn Glenn.
She is survived by her son, Dustin Stouder & wife, Mandy Haddon; three grandchildren, Destiny Dobson & husband, Jacob, James Stouder & fiancée’ Kiana Featherston, and Roy Chance Stouder; great granddaughter, Daisy Dobson; and her beloved dog, Stoney.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Janet Holt.
At Karen’s request, private family services will be held. Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
