He was born in Norman, Oklahoma to Joe and Diana Newman on August 3, 1965.
David was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He graduated from Norman High School in 1983 and also the Moore Norman Votech. After finishing school he entered into the construction field building many job sites.
David enjoyed spending summers on his grandparents’ farm in Washita County with his cousins helping his grandpa during the harvest. He cherished his time with his cousins on the farm fishing, hunting, having fun, and getting into trouble. David loved his pet German shepherd, Tiger.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents: Martha and Jerry Peters, and Jack and Dorothy Burleson.
Left to cherish David’s memory are his parents: Joe and Diana Newman, his brother Greg and his wife Shirley Newman, his niece Kali Newman, as well as many other beloved family members and friends, and his dog, Tiger.
A memorial service will be held in his honor on July 30, 2019 at 10:00AM at Trinity Lutheran Church (603 Classen Blvd.) with Pastor David Nehrenz officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.
