Mitzi was born on February 8, 1955 in Dallas, Texas to Richard and Jane Dorff. She had one sister and one brother.
Mitzi grew up in Oak Cliff. She graduated from Sunset High School in 1973 and attended Dallas Park Baptist Church since elementary school. She began her working career at Hatley’s Pharmacy on Davis Street. From there she went to work in customer service for Lone Star Gas Company. She spent her last 24 years working at Burrus and Mathews, where she was the heartbeat of the office.
She is survived by her son Stephen Stewart and his partner Marci Buck, her son Bryan Stewart, her sister Debbie Elliott, 5 grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and friends. She is also survived by her dog, Frodo, and two cats, Bob and Callie.
She was preceded in death by her brother Ricky in 2001, her father Richard in 2009, and her mother Jane in 2010.
Services for Mitzi will be Saturday, August 10, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at David Clayton Funeral Home located at 200 W. Center Street, Duncanville, Texas. Burial to follow at Little Bethel Cemetery.
Pall Bearers are J.D. Herriage, Joshua Herriage, Russell Wilkins, Christian Semmler, Dustin Wilson, Gage Wilkins.
