She was born in Wilson County, one of twelve children, to the late Elam Bradshaw and Annie Estes Bradshaw. Mrs. Dixon retired from DuPont after 30 years of service as an inspector. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, and cooking. Her main priority was her family, and she would always help them in any way possible.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Dixon, and nine brothers and sisters, Beatrice Houdershell, Mary Hopper, Thelma Cady, Craig Bradshaw, Wilson Bradshaw, David Bradshaw, James Bradshaw, Barbara Bradshaw and Hubert Bradshaw.
She is survived by her sister, Ann Phillips, brother, Vester Bradshaw, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at Hermitage Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm, and Wednesday, August 14, 2019 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm.
The Celebration of Life will be conducted at Hermitage Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at 2:00 pm.
Interment will follow at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
Serving as pallbearers are Vester Bradshaw Jr., Tony Bradshaw, Russell Bradshaw, Jimmy Lee Rollins, Hunter Bradshaw and David Rollins.
