Henry J. Zagaja, age 97, of Somerset passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at Sarah Brayton Nursing Home, Fall River. He was the husband of the late Victoria (Tabit) Zagaja.

Born in Fall River, a son of the late John and Aneila (Bonak) Zagaja, he was a life-long resident of the area.

Mr. Zagaja served in the Merchant Marines during WWII and worked as a shipper at Smith Lumber Co. in Fall River for 40 years before retiring.

He survived by many nieces and nephews and was predeceased by ten siblings.

His funeral service will be held Monday, August 26, 2019 at 10:00 AM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Cherry Place, 178 Winter St., Fall River. Visitation from 9:00 to 10:00 AM prior to the service. Burial in Notre Dame Cemetery.
