He was born October 30, 1959 in Harrisburg; he was the son of the late William and Mildred (Rusatsky) Caruso; and preceded in death by his brothers, Paul V. and William A. Caruso.
David is survived by his life partner, Deborah M. Whitman, of Camp Hill; sister, Catherine A. Caruso and her husband, Timothy D. Brandt, of Greenville, SC; nephew, Andrew Caruso; niece, Jessica Caruso; nephew, Kevin Whitman; nieces, Emily and Katie Whitman; and extended family.
He was a Transportation Specialist for DDSP at the New Cumberland Army Depot, with 38 years of service.
He was a member of St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church and the Lawnton American Legion Post 998.
David was an avid Eagles fan, loved hunting and fishing, NASCAR and sitting on the back deck enjoying serenity.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church, 4000 Derry St., Harrisburg. Private burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. A viewing will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday until the time of the service at the church.
