Juanelle Thompson Morris, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2019 after a brief illness in Arlington with her family at her side. She will always be remembered as lively and loving to all who knew her. She was born into a large East Texas farm family on May 29, 1929 to Bertha and Robert Thompson. She attended school in Lamar County and worked in Paris, Texas before moving to Fort Worth. She worked at King Candy and Swift and Company before marrying the late Nelson Morris in 1960. The two of them made their home in Forest Hills, then on View Street and Meadowbrook Drive. They raised Cheryl and Kyle in Fort Worth and were proud aunt and uncle to more nieces and nephews than they could count. After Nelson’s death in 1992, Juanelle welcomed Keri Morris into the family, and then Kyle and Keri’s children, Connor and Caitlyn. She was proud to be their Oma. Juanelle was famous for always having something good in the oven, and she always had room for one more at her kitchen table. She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers Lloyd, Robert, Bill (Reginald Wayne) and Carl James, as well as sisters Auda Mae, Gladys, Helen and Mildred, and all their spouses. Juanelle is survived by her children Cheryl and Kyle, daughter-in-law Keri, and grandchildren Connor and Caitlyn, their grandparents Lynn and Bob Field as well as a large family of nieces and nephews and their families and many, many friends. The family thanks those who cared for her and brought her joy, right up to the last day of her life. Elsa—you always made her smile and made her feel special. Thank you.
