Josephine Lillian Rakal, 89, of Deltona, FL, formerly of Bronx, NY, was carried away by angels on September 4, 2019. She was born July 20, 2019 in New York City to Samuel and Elaine Cunningham.

Josephine was a very caring and kind person. She worked as a Nursing Assistant from 1956 until she became an operating room technician in 1968. She focused all of her love on her family, being a devoted mother and grandmother.

Josephine was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, Dulles Rakal; and niece, Margo Slater.

She is survived by her loving son, Tyrone Montgomery Cunningham; grandchildren, Marcus L. Green, Tyisha Cunningham, Tyrone Mario Cunningham, and Tiffany Harrison; great-grandchild, Marcus Green Jr.; and sisters, Estelle Ware and Ruby Cohen.

A Celebration of Josephine's Life will be on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 3pm at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home, Orange City.
