Peggy Elaine Bastil, 62, passed away on Monday, September 9, 2019 at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida. She was the loving wife of Albert Lee Bastil of 18 years. Born in Stuttgart Germany, she was the eldest daughter of Donald L Ganion (Pam) and the late Maxine L Petersen and stepmother Ravalee M Mullally.
She worked for many years as an Office Manager and Bookkeeper before retiring to Florida to be close to her family. Peggy was passionate about reading, baking and sewing, but her most joyous moments were spent with her grandchildren and fur babies Hank and Maxwell.
Peggy is survived by her loving sisters Janet E Worrell (Charles), Sandra A Klein (Jim), Joanne Ganion and Laura Wilkinson. She is also survived by adopted son Michael Thorne Perkins, stepchildren Shane Bastil, Luke Bastil (Jesse) and Kristin Bertrand (Robert), daughter in law Dawn Shepard (Steve), grandchildren Dalton, Faith and Cheyenne as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews.
She supported the Women of the Moose as a proud member of the Anna Maria Island, FL Chapter 1601.
Peggy exuded bravery and determination in her fight against cancer over the past 10 years. Peggy’s family would like to express their deepest appreciation to the doctors and nurses that cared for her at Moffitt Cancer Center.

Graveside services are planned for October 2, 2019 at 11:00am followed by luncheon gathering for family and friends at Peggy’s home.
