Acacio Nascimento Tadeu, age 87, of Danbury, Connecticut passed away peacefully at home on Saturday October 5, 2019 with his family by his side. Acacio was born November 18, 1931 to the late Joao Tenreiro and Maria da Cruz Tadeu in Folgosinho Gouveia, Portugal.
Acacio immigrated with his family to the United States in 1966. Acacio, a lifetime carpenter whose work can be seen throughout the Danbury area; his happiest moments was time spent with family and keeping the tradition of making homemade Portuguese wine.
Acacio is predeceased by his parents, brothers Jose N.Tadeu and Gil Tadeu. Acacio is survived by his loving wife of 66 years Maria Armenia (Almeida). Daughters Dulce Tadeu, Palmira Pires (Mario), Paula Tadeu-Pokluda (William). Acacio also leaves behind his grandchildren Daniel Pires (Erin), Sabrina Coito (Fernando), Sabastian Pokluda, Siena Pokluda and two great-grandchildren Alex and Carina. In addition, he leaves behind his sisters Isabel Nunes and Laura Morgado and brother Decio Tenreiro, along with many nieces and nephews.
Family will be accepting condolences on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 from 8:30 AM to 10:15 AM at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St, Danbury, Connecticut. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at 10:30 AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 149 Deer Hill Ave, Danbury, Connecticut. Interment will immediately follow at Saint Peter Cemetery Lake Ave Ext. Danbury, CT.
