Our beautiful mother, Nina C. Crawford 83, of St. Pete Beach, FL passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, October 6, 2019 at Avow Hospice in Naples., FL. She was born on March 27, 1936 in Buffalo, NY to Caroline and Thomas Pizzuto. She was married to Arthur Crawford, who predeceased her in July 2017.
Surviving her are her five children, Patricia (John) Luppy, Thomas (Gina) DiChristopher, Donald (Alison) DiChristopher, Alison (Regis) Bernardi and Robert (Crista) DiChristopher, 15 Grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and 3 siblings.
Nina had a wonderful childhood growing up in Buffalo and North Collins NY, with many friends and a large Italian family. As she was raising 5 children, she was also the Human Resources Director for the YMCA of Greater Buffalo. She was an amazing cook, enjoyed reading and loved to dance. Her favorite place to be was her beach on the Gulf of Mexico, where simple sunsets made her happy. She was an incredible mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Everyone who met her was touched by her love and light. She was elegant and so proud of her family. “You are my sunshine, my only sunshine, you make me happy when skies are grey You'll never know, Mom, how much we love you, please don't take my sunshine away”
A memorial service will be held in her honor at The Pass A Grille Beach Community Church at 10:30 AM on Saturday, October 19, 2019 Memorial contributions may be made to Avow Hospice, 1095 Whippoorwill Ln, Naples, FL 34105
