She was born in Falfurrias, Texas, on September 22, 1935, to Francisco and Angelica Gutierrez.
Raising her family in Falfurrias through the years, Eva co-owned a restaurant with her husband, Olivero, and served as a bookkeeper for Phillips 66/Rosas Service Station. She was also an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Eva was devoted to her husband and her family.
Eva was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Olivero Rosas; a brother, Balde Gutierrez of Tucson, Arizona, and a sister, Estella Saenz of Premont, Texas.
Cherishing her memory are her sister, Elva Levrier of Corpus Christi, Texas; three sons, Horacio (Marta) Rosas of Brownsville, Texas, Orlando (Linda) Rosas of Corpus Christi and Dan Rosas of Modesto, California; two daughters, Olinda Ongay and Patricia Rosas, both of San Antonio, Texas; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Rosary will be prayed at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 1, 2019 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with Visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias. Services will conclude with the Burial at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Falfurrias.
