Erma Della Perez

The family will receive guests on Thursday, November 07, 2019 from 6pm to 8pm in the Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40. A celebration of Erma’s life will take place at New Life Church, 406 S. Pittsburgh in Amarillo on Friday, November 08, 2019 at 10am with Spike Maldonado presiding. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Garden of Cross.

Erma was born on September 12, 1947 in Greeley, Colorado to Alfredo and Guadalupe (DeLaCruz) Rodriguez. The family relocated to Texas where she would obtain her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from West Texas A&M University. On March 28, 1970, she married the love of her life Miguel Perez III. Together they shared 49 years of marriage while raising a wonderful family. Erma worked as a Bakery and Tortilleria manager for Homeland Foods for many years. For the better part of 30 years, she was a Bingo Operator for Alamo Catholic Booster Club. In her spare time, she enjoyed bowling, music, and dancing. Her favorite pass time was her yearly trip to Las Vegas where she gambled the whole trip. She enjoyed reading, painting and cooking, but this all failed in comparison to her favorite hobby of spending time with her grandkids and family.

Erma was preceded in death by her parents, her in-laws Miguel Jr and Lillian Perez, sister Rosa Morales, brother Robert Rodriguez, and brother in laws Oscar Morales and Richard Perez. Those left to cherish Erma’s memories are her beloved Miguel, sons Miguel Perez IV and Brandon Perez, daughters Lei Anne Ramos, Andrea Bunney, and Noelle Salazar; brothers Alfredo, Anthony, and Eddie Rodriguez, and sisters Anna Jordan and Dorothy Jones. Erma also leaves her 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; as well as many other loving family and dear friends.
