Dolores was born on October 28, 1928, in the small town of Delagua, Colorado, to her proud parents, Louis and Herlinda Castellano, who preceded her in death. Her Lord called her home on October 30, 2019, when she passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home in Northglenn, Colorado. Married on July 5, 1947, Dolores and Alex Sandoval (who preceded her in death in May, 2005) enjoyed nearly 58 years of life together. A loving mother, Dolores is survived by her six children, Alex (Dana) Sandoval, Jerry (Janice) Sandoval, Mark (Nancy) Sandoval, Sophie (Steve Apodaca) Sandoval, Michael Sandoval, and Tom Sandoval (Dodie Sale). Dolores was blessed to have 13 grandchildren, Eli Sandoval, Cory Francis, Chris (Victoria) Francis, Jamie (Chris) Winkler, Erin (Connor) Grim, Nicholas Pounders (preceded in death 2018), Ryan (Alexx) Pounders, Ross and Brooke Apodaca, Lindsey and Stephanie Sandoval, Jack and Lily Sale, as well as three great grandchildren, little Alex Sandoval (who entered Heaven in 2005), Mason and Logan Winkler, and was also joyously anticipating her first great granddaughter in January, 2020, from Erin and Connor Grim. She and her five siblings were very close, and she is survived by her brother, Larry (Geri) Castellano. She was also a wonderful, caring Aunt to many. A loyal and comforting friend to all, she will be greatly missed by both her family and those who had the privilege of being a part of her life.
