Eugene Y. Lowe, M.D., age 89, passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2019. He was born in Portland, Oregon. He was one of five children raided in Fresno, California.
After graduating from Northwestern University Medical School, he served in the US Air Force as a captain in the Medical Corps. He was stationed in Japan during the late 1950s.
Prior to his military service, he married his longtime sweetheart, Martha Napoletano. They were happily married for 49 years until her passing in 2006.
Upon returning to Fresno, her opened his private practice in internal medicine near Community Hospital where he practiced for over 45 years.
He is survived by his daughter, Gina Ross, MD and her husband Benson; and his son, Mark Lowe DDS. The light of his life was
his granddaughters, Margaret Haskell Ross and Dylan Lowe Ross.
Services will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home with Visitation on Friday, November 22, 2019 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Whitehurst Funeral Home on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 10:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made in Eugene’s name to Terry’s House at Community Regional Medical Center, 2730 Fresno St., Fresno, CA 93721.
