With profound sadness we regret to announce the passing of Jean Baptiste “Kelly” Peter of Baytown Texas on Saturday 23rd November 2019 at 6:40 a.m. peacefully at home surrounded by family. He was 74 years old. Jean was born April 26, 1945 in Praslin, St. Lucia to the late Ashton Charles (Father) and Magdeleine Peter (Mother). His parents precede him in death. He is survived by his wife, Elmina “Adellita” Peter; children, Raphael (Catherine) Charles, Lydia (Walter) Pierre-Emmanuel, Muraline (Matthew “Black" Thomas Jr.) Peter, Delia (Geustravious) Rice, Francile Peter, Quentina Thomas; stepdaughter, Aline Leon-Charlery; adopted daughter; Euphemia “Fefe" Felicien; brothers, Anderson Charles and family of St. Lucia, Martin Gilton Charles and family of St. Croix, Anthony Charles and family of St. Croix; sisters,Fedelis Peter and family of St. Croix, Eliatha Jules and family of St. Croix, Lucy Austina Frederick and family of Miami, Florida, Patricia Sidonie and family of St. Lucia, Agatha Ivinia George and family of Texas; 18 Grand Children, 9 Great Grand Children, 10 Nieces and 11 Nephews of St. Lucia, St. Croix and Florida; best friends, Stanley Archer of Baytown, TX, Maurice LeBlanc of Baytown, TX, Victor Monrose of Baytown, TX and Joseph Charles of Baytown, TX. Many cousins both here and abroad too numerous to mention. Also left to mourn: The Charles family of St. Lucia and The Peter family of St. Lucia and St. Croix. Serving as pallbearers are Lance Charles, Roddrick W. Burris Jr., Geustravious M. Rice, Samuel Hill, Anthony Charles and James Joseph.
