1932-2019
Audrey Mae Henitiuk, born in Treherne, Manitoba, passed away unexpectedly on November 21st, in Edmonton.
Having grown up on the farm, Audrey’s initial career was as a school teacher (beginning in a one-room schoolhouse), although she was later certified as an accountant. Her love of family was strong, and her work ethic second to none. Audrey was predeceased by her beloved Mike (husband of 63 years), infant daughter and son-in-law David Valentine. Audrey leaves behind their children Jay (Geri) Henitiuk, Tracie (Calvin) Vandemark, Valerie (Stu) Henitiuk and Dawn (Stuart) Valentine; grandchildren Jessica, Tyler (Danielle), Rob (Kayla), Chelsea (Greg), Michael, Brooke, Tess, Simon and Leo; and great-grandchildren Alexandra, Payton, T.J., Maxen, Bodhi and Axl. She is also survived by brothers Gordon and Barrie (Vicki) Donald; brothers-in-law Nick Henituik and Bob Douglas; sisters-in-law Eunice Donald, Elaine Donald, and Mary Kelemen; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Audrey’s life will be held at a later date.
