A Funeral Service for James will be held Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at 12 p.m. at Myers-Reed Chapel. Visitation will be held Monday, December 2 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Additional visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Cremation is planned following the service.
James was born on August 23, 1949 to the late Annie (Fuson) and Paris Miracle. He was the youngest of 8 children. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Mildred, Pauline, and Sue James; and his brothers, Sherman, Alva, and Troy.
He is survived by his daughters Alisha MIracle and Lela Clark; his grandsons, Braden Cusano and Jackson Scalf; his brother Roy (Margaret) Miracle; and his sisters, Wanda (Ron) Jaggers and Christine Griese.
After High School, James was drafted into the military and chose to be a member of the United States Air Force. He proudly served his country for twenty years. After retiring, he returned to Columbus and was hired as one of the original eight managers at NTN Driveshaft. He worked there for the next 28 years, after which he happily retired, for good.
Most weekends, James was spending time with his daughter, grandsons, girlfriend Julie Zeigler, her grandson Jaxson, and his niece, Lesa (Paul) Hankins. He loved to have them over for cookouts and bonfires.
James also LOVED to fish. Any chance he got, he hooked his boat up and headed to Hardy Lake. He taught Alisha and his grandsons to fish and got pretty cranky when they out-fished him. He also loved to visit with his family and friends over breakfast and a cup of coffee.
