Josephine McShane, 94 of Sarasota and formerly of Cape Coral, FL passed away peacefully at home on December 3, 2019. She was born on August 25, 1925 in Philadelphia, PA to Anthony Perry and Margaret Toner Perry. In 1985 she moved to Cape Coral from New Jersey. She was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church and a volunteer at Cape Coral Hospital Gift Shop. Mrs. McShane formerly resided at the Windsor and led The Rosary and was a new resident ambassador and was on their March Madness Basketball team.
She is survived by her loving family including her seven children, Susan Lapham, Maureen McShane, Eileen (Roger) Turtch, Michael (Barbara) McShane, Kevin (Patricia) McShane, Terrence (Valerie) McShane, Mary (James) Vaughn; 25 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Charles McShane and sister, Margaret Ridpath.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am on Tuesday, December 10th at St. Andrew Catholic Church, with entombment to follow at Coral Ridge Cemetery. The family suggests donations in her Memory be made to www.givetotidewell.org Tidewell Hospice.
