Pete was my Chef,  my co-worker, but also my  friend. I had the pleasure of working with him at The Raphael Hotel for nearly 20 years. The  hospitality industry attracts quite a cast of characters and Pete was one of the best!  
Smart, professional, fair and seriously funny are words that come to mind when I think of Pete.
 As a sales person,  we worked with  a wide variety of customers.  It was always refreshing to deal with Pete, he worked to tailor  menus to delight all of our clients. 
No doubt... I will forever crave some of his signature menu items! Nancy D’Amico


I will always remember Mr. Hahn as a calm, patient, and thoughtful person. He truly resembled and distinguished  characteristics of someone with a big heart, but softly spoken. I had only a few lengthy encounters with Mr. Hahn and every single time he managed to greet me with a large smile and a positive attitude. With those few moments I was able to cherish with both Peter and Brad I will never forget whether it was coaching our very disorganized basketball team or our small talks outside of the house. I’m grateful to have know such an amazing person.

I will always miss talking with Pete, it was always a highlight of my day, even if we were problem solving issues. Great sense of humor and  quick wit made me laugh. Sharing personal and professional challenges and successes is something I will always cherish. He had a great attitude about life, and I know he loved his family more than anything. He was a dedicated, hardworking loyal man that I am honored to call my friend. Taking him pistol shooting for the first time was blast for both of us. Wished we could’ve gotten the second time with long guns. God bless Peter, Kathy and Brad. He is truly missed.

I am forever grateful that I was lucky enough to have such a great man as my father. A lover, a hard worker, a friend, a son, an uncle, a husband and, father. My dad always supported me and loved me through thick and thin growing up and showed me what it meant through actions to be a good person, worker, father, and husband. I will forever remember the endless amount of car rides and dinners we had growing up, and every small win in life has been bittersweet with you gone. I will continue to make you proud and continue to grow into a man that you would be proud of. I hold you close to my heart and think of you every single day, please continue to watch over me, mom, and all of the incredible lives you made an impact on. I love you and miss you so much. 

We will miss you Pete.  Philip and I have wonderful memories  from golfing (Philip realized very quickly he wasn’t quite in the same league as Pete) to culinary and cutlery questions Pete was always so willing to share his extensive knowledge. To the time Brad was born and Pete was beaming with pride showing us his new son.  To the time he waited patiently for me to give him a ride to the hospital when he felt like he himself was giving birth to a kidney stone. There he was sitting on the front step, smiling and and waiting, so sweet but later I found out he told Kathy he thought I may have taken the scenic route and it was probably at that time Pete knew I was directionally challenged.  When we remember Pete we think of his kind, sweet nature and how much he will be missed by his family.  

Sad to say.. and with a heavy heart, we miss you ...  how smooth you took care of all that we needed to make our jobs more efficient... we miss you every day Pete..gone from us too soon

Whenever I would go to the Raphael I would order a grilled cheese and wait for the staff to tell Pete that a grown woman just ordered off the kids menu and then he would say, "my sister in law must be here" and would come out and say hi!  
He was such a good husband to my sister and a good father to Brad,  always so kind and patient.  He will be missed by some many, but especially by his family.  We will all love and miss you forever Pete!!!

I thank God for the privilege of knowing such a kind, generous and wonderful man. I thank God for the years we were married, and for our son Brad who has many of your traits. You were the best husband and father! I ask that God hold you in his loving arms forever!

Amy...how saddened I was to read of Peter’s passing..the obituary and video
are a real tribute to a life well lived.  Your parents are assuredly very proud.
So many fond memories of living across the street from the Hahns on 68 terr.  My favorite...your parents had a big old Buick they parked at the top of the drive.  One day Peter released the parking brake and the car ended up in our front yard...memories, memories.  Peace and prayers to all your family.

I have great memories of working for Chef Hahn at the Raphael Restaurant twenty plus years ago. It was a privilege to be a small part of that restaurant family in which Pete was such a strong influence. My deepest condolences to all the family. 

To your wife, son and all of your family and friends I offer my prayers and sincere condolences. Chef Peter over the years we’ve chatted and attended many Chef Association Events . You always volunteered to help with an event regardless of what it was for,  your help in the annual Taste of Elegance event always mean’t that it would run smoothly. 

You will be missed and never forgotten, because you have always given of yourself to make our world a better place. 

Being in the produce business, I have  known Peter and worked with him for a long  time. Peter was always such a great person with a kind soul. I looked forward  to receive his calls to place his orders. He was always making humor of situations and life itself. When thru business you talk to someone for so many years, they become friends and I consider as family . Peter will be missed by many and for sure by his Liberty  Fruit  Produce family. I am glad I had the honor of working  with  him and knowing him. God  Bless and prayers  to all of his family
