Barbara Ann Besaw went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 7th, 2020, at Wilshire Lakewood Skilled Nursing facility from natural causes. Barbara was born to William and Ann LaFavers on Feburary 1, 1940 in Amarillo, Texas where she was the second of eight children. Barbara lived in the home until she graduated from Amarillo High School and then married the love of her life Raymond R. Besaw on June 26, 1958. While living on the Air Force base in Topeka, KS, she met her life-long best friend, Joyce Skinner. They shared many laughs and memories over their 60+ years of friendship and raised their families together. Barbara worked for the Hickman Mills Consolidated School District as the Food Service Manager for almost 20 years before retiring and moving to Truman Lake.
She is proceeded in death by her husband, Raymond, her parents, one brother, William LaFavers and a sister, Juanita Batterton. She is survived by her children: Patty Jones (Tim) of Kansas City, MO; Jerry Besaw (Kelly) of Aurora, CO; Shelli Coleman of Harrisonville, MO; granddaughters: Cindy Blackburn (Ryan) of Raymore, MO; Jessica Besaw of Raymore, MO; Lynette Lartey of Chicago, IL; Jill Johnson of Colorado Springs, CO; grandsons: Lawrence Lartey (Amanda) Robbinsville, NJ; Gregory Johnson of Tuscon, AZ and Shawn Johnson (Sydney) Parker, CO . Brothers: Kenneth LaFavers Breckenridge, TX; Richard LaFavers (Glenda) Victoria, TX; James LaFavers (Peggy) Amarillo, TX; Joseph LaFavers (Linda) Aurora, CO and one sister: Ramona Langton (Richard) Pittsburgh, TX.
