Shelby loved to sew and did for many years. She loved to make costumes for her kids and grandkids throughout the years. She bowled for many years and tournament play took her and daddy throughout America. She loved fishing all day. She spent many days at the beach, Rollover Pass, Galveston Bay and Sabine Pass fishing for those specks and flounders with Donald and the kids.
She loved a good ole dirt track race with the family at Speedway 90 and watched Nascar racing.
She spent many years watching football games with Donald.
Survivors include her Donald of 59 years; son, Kyle Hartwick and his wife Penny of Clear lake, Texas; daughter Kelly Hartwick Riggs and her husband Robert of Lumberton, Texas; 3 grandchildren, Robby Riggs, Donny Riggs and his wife Rachel all of Lumberton, Texas, Hannah Hartwick of Clear Lake, Texas; 2 great grandchildren, Junior and Jolene Riggs; aunts, Annette Mills and Eula McKnight; nephew, nieces, and cousins.
Shelby was preceded in death by her parents, Milton & Thelma Owen and brother, Buell Reese Owen.
Special thanks to the nurses that cared for mom on 4 Southeast at St. Elizabeth Hospital that became part of the family and Harbor Hospice team. Special thanks to Cocoa for the sweet gentle care you gave.
Graveside services will be 1:00 PM, Monday, January 13, 2020 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont.
Pallbearers will be Kyle Hartwick, Robert Riggs, Robby Riggs, Donny Riggs, Carl Owen & Patrick Owen.
