He will always be remembered as a loyal, caring and loving Husband, Father, Pappy, Brother, Uncle and Friend to all that adored him. He was born on September 27, 1952 in Dallas, TX to Marion and Mildred Meharg.
John graduated from Irving High School in 1971. He went on to attend Irving School of Welding in 1973. He married the love of his life, Paula, June 14, 1975. Together they have 3 children Amber, John Ross and Ashley. He loved to go for rides on his Harley Davidson, tinker around on his 1967 Chevy Pickup and play his Les Paul guitar. He loved the great outdoors, fishing and hunting. He was a member of Twin Oaks Baptist Church for many years, was a man of great faith and loved the Lord with his whole heart and all of the people at the church.
John is survived by his wife Paula, his daughters Amber and Ashley, Son-in-Law Darren Mathis and Grandson Kaeden Mathis, all residents of Keller, Tx. His Brother, David Miller and his wife Diana of Roanoke, TX. His Sister, June Moody and her husband Jerry of Terrell, TX, Sister Janie Gardner and her husband Charles of Gainesville, TX and Sister Peggi Kohr-Wickliffe and her husband Terry of Corinth, TX. Sister-in-Law Becky Pursley of Austin, TX. Father-in-Law Raymond Medlinka, Sister-in-Law Michelle Garth and her husband Eddie, Brothers-in-Laws Mark and his Wife Lucy, Chris and his Wife Denise, Eric and his Wife Tiffany. As well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his Son John Ross, his Parents, his Step-Father David Miller Sr., his Sister Judy, Nephew Gary, Sister Patty, Cousin Michael, Mother-in-Law Connie and Brother-in-Law Phillip.
The visitation will be held from 6 – 8 o’clock p.m. on Friday, February 14, 2020 at the funeral home. The Funeral Service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on February 15, 2020 at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home Chapel in Colleyville, TX . Interment will follow in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park with a reception to follow at Twin Oaks Baptist Church at 1301 S. Main St. Keller, TX 76248.
