Walter Czachorowski

Walter Anthony Czachorowski, age 82, of Rochester Hills, Michigan passed away on February 21, 2020. He was born on January 21, 1938 in Hamtramck, Michigan to Walter and Mary Czachorowski. Walter had a passion for music, fishing, joking, and animals. But nothing compared to his grandchildren who were very dear to his heart. Walter was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Mary Czachorowski; and his siblings, Patricia Levendoski and Robert Czachorowski. He was the devoted husband to his wife of 61 years, Charlene Czachorowski; loving father to his daughters, Christine Rettig and Kathleen (Travis) Leeds; grandfather to Jenifer (Walter) Pitcel, Ceré Rettig, Ryan (Samantha) Rettig, Brittany Rettig, Cayden Leeds, Mattie Leeds, Brendan Leeds, and BreAnn Leeds; great-grandfather to Annabelle Rettig, Henry and Abigail Pitcel, and Dorian Rettig; and brother to Kathryn Burchwell, Mary Ellen Pitkowski, Gloria Bruce, Dorothy Zepke, and Richard Czachorowski. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 from 4-8 PM, at Pixley Funeral Home, 3530 Auburn Rd., Auburn Hills, Michigan. In Walter’s memory, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association (www.diabetes.org) or the Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org).
