Linda K. Zahm, 68 of Huntington passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at Heritage Pointe of Huntington. Linda was a 1969 graduate of Huntington Catholic High School. She later graduated in 1973 from Indiana University with her bachelor’s degree and in 1978 with her master’s degree. Linda taught for 13 years at St. Mary’s Catholic School and for 25 1/2 years at Lancaster Elementary, retiring in 2012. She was a lifelong member of S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. She enjoyed reading, traveling, fishing with her dad and spending time with family. Linda also enjoyed cooking, baking and making candy.
She was born on June 17, 1951 in Huntington, the daughter of Leo and Harriet (Denton) Zahm.
Survivors include two brothers: Richard “Dick” (Christine) Zahm; Robert “Bob” (Leslie) Zahm both of Huntington; a sister: Carolyne Hornbuckle of Shreveport, LA; three nieces: Connie (Price) Smith, Cindy (Mike) Cook, Linzy Zahm; a nephew: Rick (Laura) Zahm all of Huntington and 7 great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 6, 2020 from 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 10:00 am with one hour of visitation prior to the service with Father Tony Steinacker officiating at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel.
Interment will be at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
