PHARR-Yolanda Gomez Garcia, 82, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 8, 2020. She was born on July 5, 1937 to Severino Garcia and Santos Garcia in Mexico. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Lupita Gomez; parents Severino and Santos Garcia; siblings, Ernestina Torres, Esperanza Torres, Julia Garcia, Juanita Medina, Amelia Leija, Ofelia Luna and Jesus Garcia.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Alberto Gomez, children; Leticia Garcia, Yolanda Gomez, Irma Gomez Sosa, Delinda Martinez, Guadalupe Gomez, Ricardo Gomez, Pedro Gomez, Seferino Gomez, Enrique Gomez, Oscar Gomez, Alberto Gomez Jr., Gustavo Gomez and Betito Gomez. She is also survived by 38 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and sister, Lupita Garcia.
Family will receive friends Wednesday, March 11, 2020 from 1:00PM to 11:00PM with a service at 7:00PM at Funeraria Del Angel Palm Valley in Pharr. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at 9:30AM at Iglesia De La Communidad Cristo La Roca in San Juan. Interment will follow to Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr, Texas.
