Junior was a wonderful husband to my sister, Joyce and wonderful father to his three daughters, Kim, Michelle and Amanda. He was a great man of God whom he loved and served faithfully. He will be missed by all who knew him.

I always thought a lot of brother windell ,liked to hear him preach, he was a good man, prayers for all the family 

I first met brother Weldon at Whirlpool. I knew right away that he was a godly man. He was always so pleasant, positive and uplifting. We had many discussions about the Lord. He always ended up bragging on me, “edifying “ as the Bible says. In 2010 I lost my wife of 37 years and was having a really difficult time dealing with my loss. As I was struggling through this, I thought of brother Weldon and how he had helped me many times in the past with such sound spiritual advice. I called him and told him I’d like to talk to him about my struggle. I was expecting him to tell me he’d talk to me tomorrow or maybe a day or two. Not brother Weldon! He said he would meet me at his church in about an hour. (This was late in the evening.)We met and, as always, he gave me some wonderful council. I left there encouraged and strengthened. But what you don’t know is, I never set foot in brother Weldon’s church when he was pastoring there except for that night. Not only that, I’m not even the same denomination he was. THAT’S the kind of man Weldon Bratton Jr. was. If only we had more like him!






Bro. Bratton was truly an inspirational Man of God. He touched my life in many many ways. I think often about advice he has given me throughout the years About how to be an Over Comer and Live Victoriously through Christ. Earth's Loss is Heaven's gain. As a Christian I have the Promise of seeing him again along with My Loved ones who are in Heaven WELCOMING him HOME ❣

Worked with Bro. Weldon at whirlpool for many years. He was a great Christian man and very uplifting to others. He will be greatly missed. Love & prayers to all the family.

I'm so sorry for your loss. As its hard to let them go, he is no longer sick. His work was done. I remember as growing up in Huntington area & as friends with Amanda, I visited their house often. He was always a sweet soft spoken man. Love & prayers of comfort for you all.

Amanda you and you family are in my prayers.  Your dad was such a good man believe in the power of Jesus Christ and in his family.  

This is one of the finest men I have ever known. He was a great friend and a great leader. I can only imagine the reunion that's happening in Heaven between him and Bro. JB Burrough.   

Junior will always be remembered as a man of great faith. He definitely  finished his course and kept the faith and I know there is a crown awaiting him on that great day when rewards are given.    Ernestine

I worked with Bro. Weldon for years. I always thought that he was a man of faith. I hate he is gone but, I know with all my heart, that he is in heaven sing praises to the lord! You made a difference in a lot of peoples lives. You will be missed!

I worked with Weldon at Whirlpool. Such a sweet spirit. He would always come by where I was and speak to me and others and always had a encouragingly word.  I always thought a lot of him. God bless his family. Love and prayers for you all.

Mr. Brattonis survived by his wife, Joyce Ann Bratton; three daughters, Michelle Porter and husband, Michael of Alma, Amanda Cheesman and husband, Jimmy of Greenwood and Kim Shipley and husband, Eddie of Greenwood; three sisters, Pat Branham of Nicoma Park, OK, Sharon Troglin of Midwest City, OK and Sonja Melton of Dell City, OK and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Kim Knox.
