Born in Brooklyn, he resided in Brooklyn before settling in Freehold in 2001.
Prior to retiring, he worked as an electrical engineer before leaving to begin a family business with his wife, which they operated from 1964-1980. He later moved on to work in Sales for Mountain Service Distributors in South Fallsburg, NY, and referred to himself as the “Slush Puppie Guy.”
Sidney was very committed to his community and remained active in The Villages Board of Trustees. He was a music lover – especially big band and swing.
He was predeceased by his loving wife, Lila, in 2014; and by his brother, Julius in 1998.
Surviving are his daughters: Beth Corman and Rona Corman Leone; and 4 grandchildren: Erika, Jonathan, Max, and Brooke.
A graveside service will be held at New Montefiore Cemetery in Farmingdale, NY, under the direction of Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels.
