Martha Jean Mask was born December 9, 1927, and was called home May 19, 2020. “Jean” was spunky and fun loving. She never met a stranger, would carry on a conversation with anyone and make you feel you’ve always known her. She made the best biscuits and gravy. She loved her puppy dogs and feeding the resident squirrel and birds in her back yard. She never missed sending a holiday or birthday card to her family. She was loved by all who met and knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Harver Mask, Jr. She is survived by her seven children, Linda Barnes of Fort Smith, AR, Richard Mask of Tulsa, OK, John Mask of Fort Smith, AR, Debbie Lux of Holiday Island, AR, Steve Mask of Cedarville, AR, Carolyn Tate of Fort Smith, AR, and Eddie Mask of Greenwood, AR; grandchildren, Tony Howard, Allen Howard, Chris Howard, Kelly Mask, Shelly Haynes, Melissa Shy, Adam Mask and Johnathan Mask, as well as 16 great grandchildren and a couple great great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Ruth Loving of Longview, TX.
Services will be private, viewing will be Friday, May 22nd from 10am-4pm. at Fentress Mortuary. Interment will be at the Fort Smith National Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Fentress Mortuary in Fort Smith.
