Delano "Del" John Joyner

Delano “Del” John Joyner, age 42 of Benson, died on Friday, June 19, 2020 at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill.

Del was born on April 17, 1978 in Lima, Ohio the son of the late Larry Frederick Joyner, Sr.

Del was a truck driver. He loved his family and was very close to his nieces and nephews, he loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing. He played the Guitar by ear and enjoyed cooking trying new dishes. One of his favorite times of the day was drinking his coffee on the porch in the mornings with his brother’s dogs Star & Scooter. They were side kicks in the morning.

He is survived by his brothers: Larry F. Joyner, Jr. & (wife) Linda and Travis Joyner & (wife) Beth both of Lima, Ohio

John G. Joyner & (wife) Lisa of Benson, NC

Sisters: Audrey Lawrence & Mike of Tipp City, Ohio; and Eileen Joyner Barefoot & (husband) Ronnie of Lillington, NC.

Nieces: Laylah Grayce Barefoot, Kylee Joyner, Melisa Barefoot, Abigayle Joyner, Heather Joyner and Gwen Joyner

Nephews: Blake Joyner, Logan Joyner, Hayden Joyner, Johnathan Wood, Jordan Joyner, Hunter Joyner, Ronnie Barefoot, Jr., Stephen Lawrence

Girlfriend: Kathryn Dean

The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 23, 2020 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Cromartie Miller Funeral Home in Dunn. And at other times at the home of John & Lisa Joyner, 493 Dragstrip Rd., Benson, NC.
