Anthony Waldrop

Anthony James Waldrop was born 8/28/92 to parents Jim Collins and Michele Walker at UMC Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada. From an early age, he had so much energy, was always on the move, and could never sit still for long, which carried over into adulthood. He enjoyed the outdoors, camping, hiking, and being with family and friends. He appeared to be rough and tough on the outside with his muscles and tattoos, yet he was actually quite the opposite. He had a gentle old soul, would do anything to help his friends and family, make food for the homeless, drive around town passing it out, help rebuild churches, and distribute clothing to the children at the orphanage while on his mission trips in Mexico. After one of his mission trips, he came home excited to tell the family that he was baptized in the Pacific Ocean.

He enjoyed talking with and meeting new people but was not one to initiate the conversation first. He was quiet but not shy. He had a great sense of humor and liked being silly, playing pranks, and laughing. He was never interested in material things. We had to convince him as a teenager that he needed more than one pair of shoes.

His hobbies included playing guitar, video games, mixed martial arts, and fishing. Mixed martial arts became more than just a hobby, it became his life goal and dream to one day coach at-risk children to keep them out of trouble and on a straight path. He kept disciplined and was beginning to work with other fighters to get them ready for their fights.

When Anthony was really young, a family friend Teresa let him hold her pet snake. Since that day, he became fascinated with reptiles. He had two snakes, Kratos a Boa, and V his python, two bearded dragons named Bonnie and Clyde, and two geckos. He gave the female gecko to Anthony Jr, who named her Bella.

His favorite person was his grandma Linda. They had such a special bond. She would call him her little Anthony. He loved her so much.

What Anthony was most proud of that meant more than anything in this world was his two sons Anthony Jr. age 5, and Ayden, age 2. You could see the love and happiness in his eyes when he was with them. He spent a lot of time with them, loved taking them to the park, playing with them, and holding and hugging them.

Anthony was a strong warrior with a gentle heart. He was loved by all that knew him and will be dearly missed.
