She was born June 28, 1945 in the Bronx, New York to William and Elizabeth (née Schuller) Bokor. She moved to Queens, New York when she married her husband of 39 years, Oscar. In 1980, they relocated to Howell, New Jersey.
Marilyn enjoyed reading, frequently going on cruises, playing mahjong, doing crossword puzzles, going to Atlantic City with her sister but, most of all, she had the most joy being with her family and adored her three granddaughters and attending all of their activities. She always put her family first, even before herself. She was very well-liked and admired by everyone who ever knew her, extremely strong and brave, never letting illness slow her down.
Mrs. Karmazin was preceded in death by her loving husband Oscar in December 2004.
Marilyn is survived by her son Alan Karmazin of Freehold Township, New Jersey; daughter Lisa Bischoff (Edward) of Howell Township, New Jersey; sister Rosalind Weiner of Jackson, New Jersey; brother Robert Bokor of Plainfield, New Jersey; granddaughter Allison Karmazin; granddaughter Emily Karmazin; and granddaughter Olivia Bischoff.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Mount Moriah Cemetery, 685 Fairview Avenue, Fairview, New Jersey 07022 immediately followed by a burial.
