Funeral Mass is under the direction of Buffington Funeral Home in Gonzales, Texas and will be held on September 16, 2020 at 10:00 am at Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church in Waelder, Texas with Father Jason Martini officiating. Interment will follow at Waelder Community Cemetery in Waelder, Texas. Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at Buffington Funeral Home from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Tuesday with Reverend Gabriel Cedillo officiating.
Ramona was born on August 31, 1944 in Muldoon, Texas. She was the daughter of Jose and Ruby (Rivera) Hernandez. Ramona married Epifanio Cedillo on March 4, 1966 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gonzales, Texas. She liked to make tamales and working around the house. Ramona enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family. She enjoyed playing bingo and playing the scratch offs, and going dancing.
Ramona is survived by her husband; Epifanio Cedillo, Sr., four sons; Carlos Cedillo of Waelder, Texas, Epifanio Cedillo, Jr. and his wife, Crystal of Waelder, Texas. Gabriel Cedillo and his wife, Teresa of Austin, Texas, Mario Cedillo of Waelder, Texas, two daughters; Virginia Cedillo of Waelder, Texas, Pauline Cantu and her husband, Ignasio of Austin, Texas, three sisters; Hortencia Lara of Houston, Texas, Flora Ortega of Fort Worth, Texas, Consuelo Aguilar and her husband, Vivian of Orchard, Texas, eight grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; Jose and Ruby Hernandez, one son; Raynaldo Cedillo, two brothers; Tim Hernandez, Isreal Hernandez, and one sister; Josie Banda.
Pallbearers for Mrs. Cedillo will be; Devlin Cedillo, Ruben Ortiz, Rene Ortiz, Ruben Ortiz, Jr., Anthont Cantu, and Eddie Hernandez.
