He was born on November 22, 1955 to John T. and Christine Ushman.
John retired from Henry’s Appliance Repair after working there for many years. He enjoyed fishing, camping at the lake, and Miami Dolphins football.
He is survived by his daughter Krisondra Ushman of Springfield; 2 grandsons, Donoven Ushman and Austin Payton; his father John T. (wife Marge) Ushman of Manchester, IL; his brother Keith Ushman of Manchester, IL, and his ex-wife Mary Cornell of Athens, IL.
He was preceded in death by his mother and a son John W. Ushman II.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 E. Allen, Springfield. Cremation rites were accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at 2 pm at 3969 Tozer Rd, Springfield, IL.
