Wilma C. (Lea) Porter passed away on September 28, 2020, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born a coal miner’s daughter to Adolph A. Connard and Virginia Marion Connard on February 7, 1933 in Cedar Grove, WV.
Lea was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, one sister, and her husband Col. Vernon R. Porter, USA, Retired.
She is survived by her two daughters, Patricia Morrow and her husband Dan and Beverly Koch and her husband Howard; 3 granddaughters; 6 great-grandchildren; many other relatives and dear friends.
Lea was a devoted mother and military spouse. Her family was her most cherished accomplishment. She spent endless hours gardening and reading.
A Graveside Service will be 11:15 am, Friday, November 27, 2020 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery (Shelter #2).
