Rick and I met Jean at Free Grace and joined her in praying Sunday mornings  for the church during one of the services.  I loved her heart for the Lord and for prayer...the beginning of a satisfying and meaningful friendship.  When Rick "graduated", she was a great comfort to me as a widow, and we began to get together on other occasions and to pray together as friends.   I am so grateful for her friendship and  for her example and faithfulness in prayer, especially for her commitment to pray for my children.  I look forward to being with her in eternity and enjoying her even more! 

How do I begin sharing 40 years of blessings because of of Jean Parret? It began August 1980, when Jean hired me as her infection control assistant. This was a miracle for I was not clinical.  Jean not only became my professional mentor, also my spiritual mentor! In 1991 my position was eliminated and Jean had to lay me off.  But that didn't change anything, we continued to be prayer partners and friends in Christ. And when Jean's health began to fail, I was able to repay the many blessings she had given me all of these years. Even though I miss this beautiful friend I know I will see my forever friend again in heaven 😇❤

This is my Aunt Jean with her Parret Family relatives from Thanksgiving 1988.  She and my Uncle Ed who is right behind her in the photo married  on December 2, 1972.   She married into a big and loving family.   My mon is to the left of her and introduced Jean to Ed and the rest is history.  Jean was a classy lady,  kind to all and a devoted Christian.  I know my she and Ed  had many  happy years together.  She is the last to go be with  the Lord  from this photo. I know she will be deeply  missed  by many.

I was so sad today to hear of Jean's passing.  She was a wonderful person and I shall never forget her.

I first met Jean in 1979 when she mentored me in Hospital Infection Control.  She was one of the real pioneers in Hospital Infection 
Control here in California and in the central valley.  She taught many of us the basics in that profession.  She was a past President of our local APIC Chapter (Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology), as well as a National APIC President.

She will be greatly missed by her countless friends and colleagues who worked with her in the field of Hospital Infection Control.

From Bible study leader to dear friend.  We were special friend who talked everyday, prayed together and cared about each other.
We both could speak openly from our heart.  Sometimes we needed to talk, other times we needed to listen.  Just being there for each other was a comfort for both of us.
We talked every night over 15 years, every called ended the same,
“Love you much, bye for now”
